My Niece is expecting a girl in November. She is still undecided about a name for the baby and finding the family sat round a table this weekend talk turned to this.

‘Hmm I like Flo… Florence’ I ventured,

‘Yes, yes, I like that too’ Niece enthused,

‘I bet that means something very pretty’ I mused,

‘It’s the name of a City in Italy’ husband dryly volunteered.

I was on a roll now (think Beckhams) .. ‘O of course, you didn’t conceive there did you? (aware she had been to Italy in the last year). I know think about where you conceived that may help us…’

Cue Nieces eyes shooting out of her head and muttering almost inaudibly
‘I don’t fancy calling my baby… ‘bedroom’.

Silly girl, I would have had no bones about calling my first child ‘dirty weekend in brighton 1994’.
